We are committed to making our venues accessible to all. We offer many services for patrons with disabilities, such as wheelchair locations, assistive listening devices, braille programs, large print programs, binoculars, Open Captioning, ASL Interpretation, Audio Description, sensory friendly bags, and weighted lap pads.

Seating
Accessible locations for patrons with mobility impairments are available on both a subscription and individual show basis. Patrons utilizing an accessible location may purchase up to three adjacent companion seats, based on availability. Additional tickets, up to the stated ticket limit, can be purchased in an area as close as possible to the other seats.

Transfer seats
Transfer seats are aisle seats that have a retractable arm rest that allows a patron to transfer from a wheelchair into a theater seat.

Sensory Friendly/Relaxed Performances
To give everyone in our community the opportunity to experience the joy of attending a live performance, Segerstrom Center for the Arts is presenting a series of sensory-friendly/relaxed performances as part of our Family Series. These performances are designed specifically for audience members who will benefit from a more relaxed sensory experience and casual environment, including (but not limited to) patrons on the autism spectrum, patrons with sensory sensitivities or patrons with learning disabilities to enjoy with their families.

One Saturday matinee performance of each Center Broadway musical will be ASL Interpreted, Audio Described and Open Captioned. In addition, Friday Preview Talks of most Center Dance presentations and select Family shows are ASL Interpreted. Friday Dance Preview Talks begin an hour before the performance.
To request ASL Interpretation, Audio Description or Open Captioning for a different performance, please email us at access@SCFTA.org. Please allow advance notice of at least 2 weeks before the opening performance when requesting a service. Requests are subject to the availability of a service provider and are provided at the discretion of the management.

Audio Description
Live, verbal description of actions, costumes, scenery, and other visual elements of a performance that is broadcast to patrons via an assistive listening device. American Sign Language. The interpreters stand in Orchestra near Door 1 for Broadway shows. The interpreter placement for Family shows is normally house left and placement varies for the Dance ASL Preview Talk interpreter. We have seats available in all price levels (subject to availability). Recommended for patrons who are hearing impaired who understand ASL.

Assistive Listening Devices
Patrons with hearing impairments are encouraged to use Segerstrom Center's Sennheiser System for performances in Segerstrom Hall and Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. These wireless, lightweight devices are available at no cost to those who wish to enhance the theater's normal sound level. Patrons may pick them up at the usher podium in the Orchestra level lobby of Segerstrom Hall or in the Orchestra Level lobby of the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall.
To obtain an assistive listening device and headphones, a driver's license or major credit card will be required and then returned upon receipt of the equipment at the end of the performance. Please note: You may bring your own headphones/earbuds to use in place of our headphones for Segerstrom Hall shows. It just needs to have a 3.5mm stereo audio jack.
Induction Neckloops: If you have a hearing aid that is equipped with a t-coil, we have induction neckloops available that can interface with your hearing aid. Just ask the usher working the podium. You are welcome to bring your own neckloop. It just needs to have a 3.5mm stereo audio jack.

Binoculars
Binoculars are available at the usher podium on the Orchestra level lobby of Segerstrom Hall. To check out binoculars, there is a $10 charge plus you need to leave behind a major credit card/driver's license. Your credit card/driver's license will be returned to you when you return of the binoculars.

Braille Programs
Braille programs are free to rent for select Broadway performances. They are available at the Orchestra level lobby usher podium of Segerstrom Hall. A driver’s license or credit card is required to check out a braille program and will be returned to you when you return it.

Large Print Programs
Large Print Programs are available for free for selected performances. They are located at the usher podiums on Plaza and Orchestra levels in Segerstrom Hall, and upon request in Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall and Samueli Theater.

Sensory Friendly Bags/Lap Pads
Sensory Friendly Bags/Lap Pads are available to check out for every performance on the Orchestra lobby of Segerstrom Hall and Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. They are also available to check out for shows in Samueli Theater. Each bag contains a stress ball, fidget toy, and noise cancelling headphones to help patrons with sensory sensitivity enjoy the show. We have disposable earplugs and lap pads upon request. The lap pads are weighted and can help patrons with sensory sensitivity relax during a performance. A driver’s license or credit card is required to check out a bag or pad and will be returned to you when you return the items.

GalaPro
Some performances offer closed captions through an app called GalaPro. Simply download the free app from your App Store or Google Play. For new users, you will need to register when you initially download the app. Choose your city and your service. When in the Theater, you will need to set your phone to airplane mode and connect to the GalaPro Wifi network right before the shows starts. For audio services, connect your headset. After setup is complete, all content will start streaming to your device automatically when the shows begins.
General Parking
For ticket purchase and patron drop-off:
Street parking is available for the purchase of tickets at the Center Box Office circle for a limited number of vehicles, and at performance time for drop-off and pick-up of patrons.
For Segerstrom Hall performances:
Wheelchair Accessible parking spaces are available at the Center Tower Structure (on Sunflower Avenue between Avenue of the Arts and
Park Center Drive) for vehicles bearing proper accessibility parking identification. From the structure, there is elevator access to Town Center Drive
and Segerstrom Hall’s Plaza Level and Orchestra level entrances.
For Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall/Samueli Theater performances:
Wheelchair Accessible parking spaces are available at the Plaza Tower Structure (on the corner of Anton/Park Center) for vehicles bearing proper
accessibility parking identification. From the structure, there is elevator access close to the Samueli Theater entrance which is located in the back
of the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall.

Service Dogs
All service dogs are welcome. Emotional support/comfort animals are not allowed. Service dogs must perform tasks related to the handler’s disability. We may ask you what services the dog provides. Service dogs must be leashed or harnessed at all times and will share the seating area of their handler, as aisles and walkways must be kept clear for safety.

Telephone
An accessible telephone equipped with a TTY is located on the Orchestra Level Lobby of Segerstrom Hall. Please ask any of the Center ushers for assistance. We do not have pay phones.

Usher Assistance
The Center's ushers are happy to escort and aid patrons who request assistance to and from the traffic circle area in front of the box office, before and after the performances. Ushers are also available to read program notes upon request.

Accessible Restrooms
Accessible restrooms are located near the elevators on Orchestra, Orchestra Terrace, Loge and Balcony levels in Segerstrom Hall and on every level in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. Companion restrooms are available upon request. We also have public accessible restrooms on our Julianne and George Argyros Plaza. They are located between the Orange County Museum of Art and the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall.

Elevators are available on all levels of both halls except the Grand Tier in the Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall.

Drinking fountains are available on all levels of Segerstrom Hall and Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall and on the ground level of Samueli Theater. We have coat check rooms on the Orchestra Level lobby of Segerstrom Hall and Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall available at no extra charge (subject to weather).

A registered nurse and first aid facilities are available on the Plaza level in Segerstrom Hall. In Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, please ask the nearest usher.
