After 47 years of performing as a group, Emerson String Quartet launches their farewell tour to commemorate their music and time spent together as an internationally acclaimed ensemble. Our audiences have looked forward to their concerts time and time again, and for their final concert here, these four performers are closing out their time performing with an unforgettable concert.

Emerson String Quartet was founded in 1976 and has performed in prestigious venues across the globe. In addition, the string quartet has received nine Grammys, including Best Classical Album. As The Times (London) says, “With musicians like this, there must be some hope for humanity.” Their inspiring and exhilarating performances bring Beethoven, Bartok, and Haydn’s music to life with vibrancy and artistic excellence that simply cannot be replicated.
Included with this performance, is a free pre-show talk 45 minutes before the concert with musicologist Dr. Byron Adams, which will add to your appreciation of the this wonderful music.
