Movie Mondays on the Plaza
Movie Mondays on the Julianne and George Argyros Plaza are back—and this summer, we’re turning the nostalgia all the way up. Join us this July and August for a free outdoor movie series packed with 90s and Y2K favorites, from The Parent Trap and Men in Black to The Lizzie McGuire Movie and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, plus a family favorite adventure with How to Train Your Dragon. Whether you grew up quoting these films or you’re introducing them to a new generation, it’s the perfect way to spend a summer night in Orange County.
These free, family-friendly movie nights are open to the public—no RSVP required. Just bring your beach chairs, blankets, and your best throwback vibes, and arrive early to claim a great spot on the plaza. Each evening kicks off with themed pre-show activities, making it more than just a movie—it’s a full night out.
Come hungry, too. Enjoy food and drinks from George’s Café and a rotating lineup of local food trucks, or pack your own picnic and make it your own.

Movie Mondays: Parent Trap

Twins Annie and Hallie are strangers until happenstance unites them. The preteen girls' divorced parents, Nick and Elizabeth are living on opposite sides of the Atlantic, each with one child. After meeting at camp, American Hallie and British-raised Annie engineer an identity swap, giving both the chance to spend time with the parent they've missed. If the scheme works, it might just make the family whole again.

Hiccup is a Norse teenager from the island of Berk, where fighting dragons is a way of life. His progressive views and weird sense of humor make him a misfit, despite the fact that his father is chief of the clan. Tossed into dragon-fighting school, he endeavors to prove himself as a true Viking, but when he befriends an injured dragon he names Toothless, he has the chance to plot a new course for his people's future.

During summer break, Lizzie McGuire and her closest pals head off on a school-sponsored journey to Rome. Before long she makes the acquaintance of Paolo Valisari, a local music sensation whose duet partner looks almost exactly like Lizzie. Since Paolo and his collaborator recently feuded, Lizzie agrees to stand in for the girl at a massive concert and pretend to sing while a recording plays. But when things don't go as planned, she must rely on her own vocal chops.

Capt. Jack Sparrow arrives at Port Royal in the Caribbean without a ship or crew. His timing is inopportune, however, because later that evening the town is besieged by a pirate ship. The pirates kidnap the governor's daughter, Elizabeth, who's in possession of a valuable coin that is linked to a curse that has transformed the pirates into the undead. A gallant blacksmith in love with Elizabeth allies with Sparrow in pursuit of the pirates.
